Archie Van

Biography
      Not much is known about this fairly prolific author.  We aren’t even sure whether Archie Van is a real name or a pen name.  Based upon the publishing dates of the few novels for which we could assign him definite credit, found primarily in old booksellers’ guides, we can guess that he was born circa 1850 and died circa 1920.  (And keep in mind that date range is a wild-ass guess.)  One thing seems clear, based on Clear Grit and the other two titles: he liked to write rags-to-riches stories.
